The Corporation

The skinny

When The Big Picture Corporation and Good Company Communications came to Bento Box needing a visual identity for a documentary, we had no idea we were about to become involved with one of the most important films of the decade.

Getting organized

Director Mark Achbar—no stranger to filmmaking—enlisted Bento Box to not only create a visual identity for the film, but also to organize the workflow of the logistically spread-out filmmaking team.

The Corporation Management

By providing detailed schedules, resource management techniques and infrastructure reccommendations, Bento Box was able to help the team react quickly to the demands of the ever-evolving film.

The right look

Hundreds of style treatments and animations were created for The Corporation, including type and logo treatments, interviewee identification and backgrounds, and scene transitions.

Bento Box delivered these treatments on demand, depending on the needs of the director and project managers—from rough QuickTime previews and slideshow presentations to broadcast-ready files.

Not every design in the film is virtual

The Corporation set pieces

Physical objects played a part in the design, too. Corporation-themed CD covers, water bottles, and fast-food packaging make conspicuous appearances. Even the smallest details had to be right and fit into the visual theme.

Early print support

Bento Box provided print materials for festival screeners to raise the film's profile and make sure it got on the bill. It was, of course, a huge hit on the circuit and quickly picked up for distribution.
